How to Do Cardio to Remove Fat From the Face

Heredity, diet and fitness levels impact the amount of fat in your face. If you are within your normal weight range and your parents or relatives who are also a normal weight have faces shaped similarly to yours, your facial fat is likely hereditary, and getting rid of it will be difficult. However, if you have accumulated excess weight in your face and throughout your body over a period of time, reducing your overall body fat percentage is the only way to slim your face naturally. Cardiovascular workouts can burn hundreds of calories per hour and are important to any fitness routine. Combine these workouts with a healthy eating plan, and your face will begin to slim down.

Walking

Walking is a low-impact, calorie-burning activity that is ideal for those who are new to exercising and for regular exercisers who want to improve their cardiovascular fitness. According to Nutristrategy.com, a 180-pound person burns more than 200 calories walking slowly and more than 400 calories walking briskly in one hour. If you are a beginner, walk at a slow-to-moderate pace five times each week for at least 30 minutes. Once your stamina increases, walk for at least one hour and pick up your pace to burn more calories. Eventually, your body-fat percentage will reduce, resulting in a thinner-looking face.

Interval Training

Interval training involves alternating between low- and high-intensity workouts, which is more strenuous than exercising at one pace. It also increases the amount of calories you burn per hour. Perform five minutes of high-impact aerobics followed by two to three minutes of a strength-training exercise, such as crunches or squats, to reduce facial fat and lower your overall body-fat percentage.

Most cardiovascular machines have heart rate monitors and display screens, which allow you to track the number of calories you burn and your heart rate zone. Many machines also include fat-burning workouts. If you have access to a treadmill, stair climber or stationary bicycle, use it regularly to support your overall weight-loss efforts.
